I voted for the Scroll Tiara, even though it was my second choice. My favorite is the one you call Queen Mary's Fringe. I thought it was called the George III Fringe. I believe that it is the one that The Queen and Anne wore to their wedding. It would be nice tradition and I think Catherine would look great with it. The scroll is a great second choice though. It would be a great starter tiara and has a bit of a contemporary feel to it.
Unfortunatly I think only three or four of these tiaras have any realistic chance of being used since I think a lot of these have been broken up and used for other things or new tiaras, or are no longer in the Queen's possesion.
I think the Middelton Family should buy the Duchess of Portland's tiara, for Catherine, which is up for sale. It has a beautiful light look and has just a few sapphires in it, but mostly diamonds. Think how proud she would be to walk down the aisle in something that her family bought for her. And the pride she would feel every time she wore after that.

We now have more recent information on the fringe tiara, from the Royal Collection -
