If you say they are "stamped" or "embossed", very heavy, thick and feel like glass - they may be old Edison Diamond Discs. They are 78rpm and can demand about $12.00 a piece if there is anything interesting on them. Rarely did Edison put jazz or blues recordings out. Those would command a significantly higher price. Edison stamped the labels into the shellac on the early recordings and then went to paper labels that are world famous for having poor adhesive to hold the label to the record. They fall off and there is usually a number stamped in the center which you can identify what the recording is. If you can tell me the label, song title and artist of a few I can give you a guess of their value. Most 78's are worthless on the open market unless they are in pristeen condition. It doesn't mean that somebody wouldn't pay a reasonable amount for them. They are getting harder to find in any condition. Drop me an email at 2agray@charter.net and I'll be glad to share what knowledge I know.
