Posted by simon chrzanowski I've tried to stop the yamaha sending any midi messages via the utility & set up menus but the problem persists! I've also played with the local settings on the sh32 eg turn off or mid1 or mid2 but again the problem persists! Has anyone any idea whats happening here? Does the yamaha clash with the Roland? Please, please advise of any tips cause i'm pulling my hair out here!!! Simon

Hi, i'm new to the rm1x scene having just picked up a 2nd hand one.
My primary use was to sequence my Roland SH32 which is working well. I.e i can play sounds through the yamaha, record etc!
However, when i exit the utility menu or press record or back, the sequencer sends a signal to the sh32 and the display of the sh32 changes from for example A11 to --- and no noise is heard until i manually change pattern on my sh32 where all my preset sounds are lost unless i've written them beforehand!
