The problem is the pesky midi initialization message that the rm1x sends out...I've had this problem with my akai S3000xl in multi mode- unless you insert pc infor at the the beginning of each phrase and also move the first notes of a sequence a midi tick or so after the reset, it insist on using the default initial midi values. the control panel seems to be after the midi filter, so the midi filter doesnt cover that task.
grumble...i think that's 1.2 of the os...it might change as the os gets higher
