Perhaps some power failure damaged the main internal ROM.
That´s why --i guess-- some functions work and others not.
Try to change the OS.
I guess that any power failure make the instrument works at 0% and not to 50% or 100%.
I´d help you but i am toooooooooooo far away from you. Latin America.
Contact some RM1x user at your city to test the OS.
