Yeah, I looked at at the RM1X List Book and it had the midi implementation. The SPD-s is a 'sampling pad' it has 6 pads and is a sampler too. I wanted to able to have the drummer be able to change starts the sampler and change the sections while drumming. I don't think I'll be able to do it by mapping note messages to sysex messages, unfortunately. Simply because I have 16 sections and I don't think I can write a sysex message that says go to the next section, but only one that says go to this specific section. I might have to think of a different way to do this. Anybody know of any good midi controllers that can be programmed to send sysex messages? Something that doesn't involve a laptop?
: You have to try with Sysex (system exclusives messages).
