I tested for 1st time re-transmit data from the midi in to the midi out on my RM1x. I an a RM1x owner just for a weeks ago. You are right. With the settings you are trying --and the same ones i replyed u-- the task doesn't work. It would work but it really isn`t :-\ This is the solution: Just a things to add. - Other issue has relattion with the AC1 (controller CC16).When i set the AC1 parameter to an assignable RM1X knob and previously setted the master effect connection to INSert, the know doesn't work even if i set my midi controller to send CC16 to the track-channel the effect is applied. The issues just were discovered just a couple hours ago. I'm gonna try a little more (i've read the manual about 3 times). Maybe is early to think these issues aa a OS problem. i hope this post would be useful.

Hello Total.
First i was not close next to any pc for a long time and i didin't found the page. My HD died along My Favorites.
Keep your TG setting to OFF and go to UtilityMidiSetup mode and set the echo back setting to RecM. This really work.
- I've found some issues very strange about the the Midi Filter at UtilityMidiSetup mode by example, if i un-check the OUT Note box, the RM1x keeps sending out note on messages (played from external midi controller) to Midi OUT.
