its a bit of fiddling but yes i converted some of my old rm1x tunes as midi files and rearanged them on my mc909 put a different slant on the track!
i also put the midi files into reason and into logic pro so yes you can do it but i found drum tracks hard so re did the drums usually altogether as with the rms drum sounds are on 1 key unless you have recorded hats kicks whatever seperate i mute each track and save as midi file
otherwise you have all 16 tracks saved as midifile as a whole!! not nice to try to sort out!
hope i not confused you it can be done tho i don't know if thats the right way but it worked for me have fun
