I'm going to try to get some more Halloween pix posted soon, showing the kids in their costumes and maybe a spooky cemetery and the party from last year. I have one really funny costume, that will knock your socks off...LOL! The boxes flanking the firescreen are fireplace match holders, I think, I got them a few years ago at Big Lots...they aren't antique, but look great anyway.

I made several of the Mrs. Butterworth's Dolls, from a calendar w/patterns, that was a giveaway back in the 80's...they were such fun to create. I made a Victorian Governess, an 1800's School Girl, an 1800's Thanksgiving Mom and the Witch, there was a different doll pattern for every month of the year...I sold all of them, except the Witch, she was always my favorite. I still have the calendar of patterns and may create all of them one day...I have 12 of the old glass Mrs. Butterworth Bottles in my pantry and the arms for each doll, so I really should do all 12.

I'm also drawn to the "Medieval Europe", "American Cival War", "Art Noveau" and "Art Deco" periods. Do you feel drawn to any particular era, of the past?

I love Halloween and so I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your display. So homey and cozy. I like it so much better than some of the more modern decorations out there. Hope not to offend anyone, but I dislike those big, giant, obnoxious, blow-up pumpkins that people display on there front lawns.
I like the more subtle, natural displays.
Anyway, I'm just blabbing! LOL!! Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to share. - Oh, thank you Karen! I too am put off by those "Trashy Inflatable Modern Halloween Decorations"!>>>
