I have two Kish Kids that are special and won't play with them but have anoher one of Little Pippi I can play with.
Like Carmen I go for the faces not whether their arms and legs can bend or not. Their faces are more important to me.

These dolls are made to be played with. I once saw a posting about Helen Kish with a friend and they played with their Rileys. I love them both in the Winter clothing and I particularly love the posability of the articulated ones. Of course, when it comes to my little Kish girls, I love them ALL (whether articulated or not)!!!

I love the two I have, but as an owner of sever BJDs who have the most incredible posing... I just wondered how others felt. I still love my little one and only find the lack of posability mildly annoying at times. Their little faces are so sweet and I've always loved their hands. Riley's tummy is so cute. Tulah's little face makes me melt.
I didn't know that the vinyl was different on the jointed dolls. I think the vinyl on mine is velvety. Lovely stuff.

I detest the hard plastic bodies on the jointed kids. It's rough and shiny and the feet seem too small. My older, non-jointed ones are much nicer and I love them more.

it is my first Riley (Club Riley). Articulation isn't a big thing with me...I enjoy it but it isn't a must for me. Sharon - No, I like the straight arm dolls just as much.

I love the non-articulated ones though too...I like the look of their bodies even better than the articulated ones when they wear sleeveless/short sleeve outfits or shorter skirts/dresses.
Personally I choose to add dolls to my collection based on their faces--not their articulation. If they have a face that I find beautiful or interesting, then whatever body they have won't matter to me
