This is the first year that I was in charge of all the Halloween decorations and candy hand-out. My Sister usually take care of Halloween, but this year she is on a trip and couldn't do it. I made a walk way to the front door with yellow caution tape and added spiderwebs and large rubber spiders all over the bushes. I hung neon glow sticks from the trees and some of the bushes so the kids could see them at night.
I bought a mega amount of stuff to give out. I put together 60 bags with candies, chocolates, toy, pencil, eraser and note pad. The night was very busy.
The only sour note was that a kid came to the door asking me if I had more neon glow sticks and I told him no. That the only ones I had were the ones I used for my decorations. Right after he left I went outside to check if more kids were coming and noticed that all my glow sticks were missing. His friends had stolen all the sticks and this one kid had the gall to come to my door and ask for more. That made me very mad. But then the cutest little girl dressed in a Hawaiian costume came to the door and I was happy again.
At about 9:30pm the last kids came to the door. All together 59 kids showed up for candy. YES 59 kids!! One bag left!! Did I count right or what.
I had fun and would love to do it again or maybe not.LOL
