My Kishes kind of did their own thing this Halloween. Some trick or treated and some stayed home and had a Halloween design contest. All in all it's been a fun day. I hope you all had a great day too!
Ky and Jimi decided to be cowboys this year, with Jimi as the Sheriff and Ky as his Deputy. Jimi insisted on wearing his 10 gallon witch's hat! Ky lassoed himself a little cowgirl bear, but he got out of the house without me noticing he only put underpants on under his chaps. It kind of brings new meaning to the term "chapped thighs"!
Avery and Riley wanted to be twins and Avery insisted on wearing the EXACT same sweater as Riley. Since we only had one of the ghostie sweaters, and to avoid a big meltdown, I told Avery she would get more candy if she was holding her ghostie instead of wearing it. She believed me thank goodness.
Iko and Sophie heading out with their designer trick or treat totes. Now they can hold more candy in style!
Anjali, Tulah and Kiley showing off their modern, cozy Halloween style.
Megan Rose was in the Halloween design contest. She decorated her end of the bedroom with a witch's tableau. She looks so bored because I must have taken at least 30 pix of her trying to get one that had some decent lighting. The kids hate when I take indoor shots on a rainy day.
Kate decorated her end of the bedroom in simple style, hoping her pretty self would sway the judges. I guess I need to work on her twisted sense of values!
Ming was assigned part of the kitchen. She spent most of her time on wallpapering in a Halloween theme.
Jadamarie got the rest of the kitchen. She went with accessories as a design statement. She was annoyed with Ming for running out of time/wallpaper which made her end of the kitchen look funny. Even the ghosties in the cabinet are lamenting that.
Nick and Kip went all out in their bedroom. They chose the over the top monster look as well as some eye catching wallpaper. It looks like they too ran out of time/wallpaper!
Chloe, the design contest judge, inspects Nate and Noah's entry - a Spider Fort for boys. Chloe has her arms in the air, holding her head. Could she be reacting to the obvious gender discrimination, the really icky, scary spiders, or maybe just the boys' atrocious spelling!
