the only post that I see from you is the one with Tulah peeking at Riley, who is under the bed. I thought that it was a cute idea, and your Pru is lovely too.
Perhaps people were not around when you posted and it got accidently missed, or perhaps there are some who don't wish to comment on posts that have any Halloween stuff in them....I don't know?
I can tell you that personally, even though I don't celebrate Halloween, I do understand why people find some of the costumes and candy fun, etc. I honestly don't understand the "big deal" that is made one way or another about the day in people being judgemental...I figure that people should do what they feel is best for themselves and their family. I have friends and family who celebrate Halloween and love the holiday, as well as those who only attend church "alternative" parties, and finally I know those that want to do nothing on that day. I truly understand where each point of view is coming from and have made a decision years ago to remain nuetral on the topic. Due to this decision, last year I made the choice to keep the "feature photo" nuetral as well. I figured that if people want to see Halloween posts, then they can look at them on the board, but for those who don't care for the holiday, that they don't have to "face" it when they first open the page...they can just skip posts if they feel like it.
I just don't understand why this is such a "hot topic". People seem to be very sensitive about this holiday, and I just hope that we can all respect that we ALL have the right to choose how we feel about it. I don't know that there has to be one "right" way.
As far as how Halloween is handled here on the board, I don't have any policies set in place to promote or dis-allow posts. I figure that people can post what they want about it, and people can comment what they want about it so long as there isn't nastiness in the comments of course.
As for who sent you the message in your spam folder...there must be a way that you can see who sent it to you? I'm not sure why that person would decide to write to you specifically about this topic?
After all, your post wasn't very "Halloween-y" anyway..y'know? Did you post on another board where someone might have seen it and decided to "get at you"? I can't imagine anyone here choosing to be critical of you in this.
Perhaps someone was just trying to create drama or cause trouble? I sure hope not.
Please feel free to email me about any questions or concerns that you might have if I haven't answered them already
Take care, and please know that the majority of us would certainly not be offended at your posts. (and if there are those who are offended at Halloween posts on doll boards, including those who may be here...then I apologize. I'm just doing my best to keep as nuetral as I'm able to on this topic
)
We are glad that you are here, Judi, and you are cared about
