There should be 47 squares marked on the Sea Chart now. Phew! It might feel good to stop feeding that fish. I know the two "missing" pieces are Cyclops Reef and Tower of the "Gods." Now, my idea is to be able to look at each treasure map and say, "That's definitely this location." The strange thing is, I've almost run out of maps with unclaimed treasure, so I'd have to figure out where to find more.
The figures are probably going slowly because of the way that I collect things. I want to be able to look at the photography, and not just submit it to the sculptor. That seems to mean about three or four submissions at a time, which will be a really long process if there are over 100 of these figures. I've counted 30 statues in the gallery, with two more waiting to be carved and about three pictures I can still submit.
I should be able to access two more dungeons now, since I got those items. They weren't too hard. In fact, I thought they'd be HARDER! One did take me a few tries, because you're on a timer and I ran out of time from falling down. The enemies are more annoying than difficult. I only see one or two more spaces for equipment on my item screen, and I pretty much know the identity of those items, based on puzzles that I can't solve without them.
I'm STILL trying to see what you earn from the game where you strike Orca 300 times before taking three hits. That's just a matter of patience in my opinion. You can land a three or four hit combo before he tries to hit back. Basically, you'd need to do that 75 or 100 times without becoming impatient. If you try to get a fifth or a sixth hit, that's when he makes contact to break your combo. For me, it doesn't really prove you're a good or a bad swordsman. It's just trying to see if you can repeat something without getting bored.
It surprises me how I'm still stuck around 10.75 hearts so late in the game. I could probably earn another full one or two from the dungeons. I seem to remember 20 hearts as the maximum in most 3D Zelda games, and I really want to complete the whole set. It's kind of like in "Metroid," where you'd never need 250 missiles or every energy tank, but OCD takes over.
After my next set of pictures, I'm pretty sure I'll visit one of the temples and see if I can gain access. What I'm really looking forward to is a time when I can just visit each square one by one and sort of go over a checklist. Is there a platform here? Did I clear it? Did I find the buried treasure? Is there a submarine? A Big Octo?
Who knows how long that might take?!! I was trying to extend the whole thing to about 70 hours. Since I've played 20 times to reach 45 hours, that works out to 2 hours and 15 minutes each time. Another 25 hours would be at least 10 more chances to play (in the two hour increments), meaning I could be done playing around July or August? I wanted to break things up a little and start on "Captain Toad" during the month of June, "Smash Bros." in July, and then "Mario Kart 8" by August. I haven't even scanned my first amiibo yet! What I have done is to start the process of opening them (which, spoiler alert, bends the artwork/the boxes - so I guess it's not worth finding the best box for an "OoB" collection?).
I'll try to keep you posted around the other five hour milestones. All I can say is, there's a lot to this game, and somehow I'm enjoying all these hours of not even going to the main dungeons.
