WWE 2K16 has a pretty awesome roster loaded with current and classic stars and seemingly even a few more managers than before. From what I've seen in a few matches there will be a unique feel as characters experience loss of stamina as matches go on so they may hit a move on the opponent but not have enough energy to make a quick cover. Managers also seem a bit more dynamic as I've seen the computer pull the ref out of the ring or slide a weapon into the ring.
A bit of bad news is that aside from match types that can be picked, there's pretty much no match customization that can be done. So tweaking the rules for multi-way matches being one fall or elimination or having flaming table matches or having a pin or KO only match can't be done. :-( There are a decent amount of various matches so hopefully what we lose in options we gain in how matches are played out and, maybe, in what happens in the Universe moments as well as how much more detailed the visuals look.
As we had talked about in a thread before when we switch to 2K16 basically any characters not in 2K16 will be dropped. I will check the Community Creations right before playing the "change over show" in case we can find any of the characters to limit the number of gaps in the Rankings. On the tag team side if we lose 1/2 of a tag team from 2 teams, the remaining teammates will join up at the higher ranking. So, for example, we have Noob Saibot & Undertaker on one team and Bray Wyatt & Mortis on another. If I don't find a Saibot or Mortis then Undertaker & Wyatt will form a team at Undertaker's Ranking.
If we have an odd man without a partner in the lower area such as the Contenders Pool, his new partner will be the runner up from the Hopefuls Pool Rumble. I'd normally say the winner should get that "express ticket" up but since the winner has a teammate to go up with him, we'll use the runner up.
Another perk to the change over will be that I plan to broadcast to Twitch while I'm playing out matches. So while I'll still be recording with my Hauppauge Rocket like normal, if you follow me on Twitch or come to the board and click on a message you might get to see match results literally as they happen with the embedded player! And while the player doesn't have a chatroom you can go to my Twitch page to chat. I'll have the Kinect mic on so that I can be heard but that chat won't be recorded on my Rocket capture device. If you have a Twitch account you can not only follow me but set up an email notification when I start streaming so that if it happens to be 2K16, you can get alerted and tune in. :-)
So basically when we do the switch it'll shake things up a bit and we'll be gaining some things but also losing some things. Hopefully in the long run it'll be all good and the pros will at least slightly surpass the cons. :-)
