Posted by Nancy --Previous Message-- I can understand how it can seem confusing at times. Let me try to simplify it for you. I'd like you to try three things. First, go to www.therecoverygroup.org and click on "doorway to #recovery room." Follow the prompts to get you into the meeting room. The meetings are held every three hours beginning at midnight Eastern Time. Also, there are Newcomers Meetings which I encourage you to attend. There is one on Monday and Tuesday evenings at 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time. And there is also one on Thursday evening at 10:00 P.M. Eastern Time. To get there, go to www.therecoverygroup.org and click on the button for the newcomers meetings. Second, I would encourage you to join the OA Newcomers Loop. You can post any questions you have and read the posts from other Newcomers as well. It is an excellent tool for familiarizing yourself with OA and The Recovery Group. To join this loop, go to http://lists.therecoverygroup.org. Click on archives. Scroll down to OA Newcomers and click on that. Then click on "join or leave OA Newcomers." After you join you will receieve a confirmation notice in your e-mail box. Respond to that confirmation by clicking the link in the e-mail. And, third, I would like you to go to http://www.therecoverygroup.org/sponsors.html. This will give you the many different ways there are to find a sponsor. A sponsor can help guide you through the processes I've just told you about and can also answer your questions and get you started on the steps. Good luck, Linda! It's really not that hard.
