chat room meetings

I have never used a chat room before and I do not understand how to use it. I connect and type in my name and it brings up the page where you can type in a message but I do not know how to send the message. There is no place to click to send your message only a config and quit box and I do not know what to do. I also do not know how to keep my name from disappearing. Help Pittipat
