I am 10 months in recovery after using in o.a for 8 years without a break over secret abuse by a wanna be yoga guru.I was interested to hear from people that had been attracted to wanna be gurus and cultish type scenarios before coming to o.a-because of their addiction.In my case it was a yoga guru syndrome-after I left the yoga guru's yoga room-he targetted me for secret mind control and brainwashing-keeping me subservient through threats and violence.I binged over his attempt to control my recovery and also to brainwash and mind control it.
I forever grateful that I learnt In recovery that it's between me and my h.p and that lots of games go on for addicts when they make other people their h.p.
I am glad to know that oa is not a cult-and has no guru,leader,teacher or instructor.Also I would like to hear from any o.a's that have been abused or attacked by psychopath types and how this affected their recovery and self esteem aswell as anyone physically beaten or battered.Yours Lee.
