to add in the trips some of my dolls take when they go to the Doll Club Meet-ups almost once per month. Sometimes when I've bought my dolls from another person, I didn't ask how many previous owners the doll had - however, now I think I will - not a big deal, but it would be interesting to me to know how far that doll has traveled around the country and/or world.

: All of mine are originally from Japan or
: Korea, but then as most of mine are
: second-hand purchases then I realised that,
: that added some miles on to them.
:
: So then I sat and thought……….
: Unfortunately I am blissfully unaware of the
: history of all my dolls but I believe that
: perhaps Jarek my Unique CH Jun is the most
: travelled as he came from Korea, went to
: North America then I believe to Europe, then
: back to North America and then to me ….but I
: am not altogether sure about any of this…it
: is mostly ‘what I believe’
:
: Quite a few of mine in the past have come to
: me with a stop off in North America but this
: is becoming a less frequent route now as
: customs charges in this country are now
: making it almost impossible to buy dolls via
: that route.
:
: The customs charge can add a whole £100
: extra on the cost of an incoming doll, which
: is why the British whinge so much about
: customs charges….have you seen the length of
: the thread over on DoA’s!!!
: Sorry I digress!!!
:
: And as to ‘secondary’ travelling within my
: country…well that was easy to answer, James
: and Mai have travelled with me the most to
: accompany me on holiday or travelling to
: visit friends
:
:
: I nearly forget to add-what a journey your
: latest one has made….I am assuming that you
: have only got the one doll from Belguim
: Now I wonder if this globe-trotting will
: leave any mark on her character, it will be
: interesting to see
:
:
: Great question!
