I don't follow trends.....I buy what speaks to me>>>>

I think the only doll that I ever bought when there was a frenzy, was a Petite Ai Hanael (but I did not buy her new....I got her third hand a year after the frenzy). The rest of my people are dolls that appealed to me personally. My big people collection started with Orlando, and I hadn't chosen him personally....he belonged to Frank and they just didn't bond.

I am sometimes drawn to new releases, but I know that pics on a website don't tell the "whole" truth of the doll. Owner pics speak better (my opinion).

From a sewing standpoint, so many dolls come and go in favor that a purchase must also be worthwhile for pattern making purposes.
