Early start on the weekend...

Paul and I got an early start on the weekend yesterday and paddled the Clear/Branch. Level was 3.5 which was OK, but another foot would have been better. I got hung up on a rock in the Glendale Rapid, but otherwise the run was uneventful. It was nice and warm at 1:00 when we put in, but by the time we reached the take out around 4:00, we were both pretty chilled. The joys of winter paddling.

I drove by the take-out on the way to work at 12:40 pm and I saw the canoe on a car and the vehicule with the kayak pulled off the road to you right in front of me.
I didn't think it would be anyone I knew and I was running alittle behind going to work. Otherwise I would have stopped and said 'Hi'

Yup - that was us. I got a new car - my old one died. Nice run, but as Paul said, a little chilly at the end.

Good time. Chilly, but good. That might be it for me till next year (and not in Jan/feb either!)
