Paddling next Sunday

My paddling lately has been pretty limited, but I think I can get out next Sunday, which also happens to be the New Boston release on the Farmington. I swim it every time, but I look OK in this video from Jeff:

Anyone interest in paddling on Sunday - New Boston is OK, but I could be just as happy somewhere else.

P.S. - Piscat draw down Paddle/BBQ is 10/23. I'm going to try to make that as well - we'll see.

I'm open to NB if we get some rain. Looks like we are getting rain mid to late week, just a question of how much. I've heard NB at just the release level, with no additional natural flow, is pretty miserable. If it doesn't get high enough, I'll probably pass on NB.

Looks like the Piscat release got moved up a weekend, and moved to a Sunday. Thats not good for me. I have a free pass Halloween weekend since my wife and daughter will be away. Was counting on the Piscat release that weekend. Now it will be tough for me to paddle both this weekend and next. We'll see...

I've run New Boston twice. My first run was at 4 feet, and I only swam once - Decoration Rock.

My second run was two years ago with Jeff at 3.7 feet. At that level its a boney technical run. I swam twice below the slalom course, and then at Bear�s Den.

It's running 3.5 feet now with just natural flow. Should be plenty of water this weekend - maybe too much for me.

I just started a High School mountain bike club - we go out Saturday mornings. Wet trails I cancel. I would reschedule for Sun afternoon. So, I can't make the kayak Sun - can we go Sat? They'll be more flow! Andy we need you! You are our leader now!

I'm in the same boat now. Can't do Sat, and Sunday is looking doubtful now.

Hopefully I'll see you guys next weekend at the Piscat.

Ahhhhh! If it wasn't for the steak tip/baked potato cookout, that river wouldn't be worth it!

I agree its not the best river around, but it beats sitting home. I'm not chosing the Piscat over New Boston this weekend. I just can't get out this weekend unless someone wants to come over and baby sit for me.
