Bill: This is George: You may want to anounce or post a message to see the Today Show web-site to see a kayaker setting a record and afterward being interviewed for his 127 ft. waterfall drop in Brazil. I caught the video on the Today Show web-site. George Westerlund PS 'havn't seen you recently in Virginia???

Hey yall, New to the area but not paddling. Lived down south, in Va & NC for 25yrs. Lots of rivers and creaks under my belt. Wondering whats up with the millers and the west this spring? I heard the west was on for April 11th & 12th. Tom Canning

Thanks for the introduction Bill. I just started getting into ww this past fall, so I don't have a much experience which equates to not being all that good at it yet. I'm working on it though and hopefully will be able to pass as some sort of paddler by the end of next season. Hopefully, I'll be taking a clinic up at Zoar in May. I'd love to meet some new people and get out on a few easy trips, but I also don't want to that guy holding everyone up. So I realize that not every group will like to have a newbie tagging along, even on easier trips. That being said, if anyone doesn't mind taking a new guy out, I'd be more than happy to tag along. Plus, if you're a fan of comedy it should make for some good laughs watching me fumble around out there and go for a swim or two! Also, I do have all my own gear. I welcome any suggestion, recommended trips, other comments, ridicule, etc... Feel free to contact me via mail. Thanks all, Andy
