I recommend that (if you have it) you bring the following gear in addition to your swim suit and towel: 1. Nose plugs or clips...it is tough to learn to roll with a lot of chlorinated water rushing through your schnozz. 2. Your own paddle. Everyone uses paddles with different sized blades and angles. If you're going to roll with your paddle, you may as well learn with it too. 3. Your own PFD. Actually, that should be number 1, but I don't want to edit this. 4. A neoprene spray skirt. Nylon spray skirts do not work well for rolling, and you can't roll without a skirt. There will be some available, but fit is sometimes an issue. 5. Ear plugs...not really required, and hardly anyone wears them, but if you're susceptible to ear infections, they are good to have. 6. Goggles. Again, not really necessary, but are useful to see what is going on under water, and are a blessing for those with eyes sensitive to chlorine. 7. A good attitude. 'Nuf said. -Chuck
