Drove to NY to pick it up. For what its worth, my advice would be to go for something functional and cheap even if it is not exactly what you are looking for. If you really like WW you’re going to replace the boat anyway – trust me. I just replaced my original boat after paddling it for 3 seasons (anyone interested in a WW canoe). Once you start paddling regularly and meeting people, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to trade up.
Check out the paddling websites like BoaterTalk and Paddling.net. They have equipment for sale sections – not necessarily local. Northeast Paddles Message Board (NPMB) is good as well:
