Chris...as far as I know there will be at least 3-5 canoes, 3 kayaks.
Most if not all of the canoes will be both paddling and poling.
Paul: You're right, it begins as the Clear, but it actually becomes the Branch less than halfway through the trip, where the Chepachet (pronounced Shep-ah-shay by New Yorkers) joins it right above Oakland Dam.
