Depending on which day works for most I'll be going to the Upper Millers one day that weekend. The Upper Millers is a natural progession for those learning WW and want to pick it up a notch or two. This is NOT a difficult CL-III run, although the rapids are fairly long and water volume is high. (and it is CL-III in short sections) This run is located in N.Central Mass. by Athol and Royalton. It is a dam release river as is the Deerfield you are all so familiar with. With the dry conditions this spring it will be one of the few opportunities to get out on quality WW. I won't say touring kayaks can't do it, they just are probably NOT the right boats for this level of rapids.
