Posted by Creekland Farm on 7/8/2006, 4:11 pm Normally I don't actively try to sell many of my yearlings as they're in a gangly growth year, but... for this month only I'd sell any of them for $1000 (each) and might even look at offers... These colts could also be free leased as companions as long as they're reasonably nearby (remember we're in South Central PA). Yearling Palomino Colt #1 is C's Gallant Sailor - AQPA papers pending. He currently stands 12.1hh as of June 2006 and will grow a bit more. He has a full sister showing (English hunters) and is a full brother to one of my stallion prospects. There is also a 2 year old buckskin sister here I can send pics of (or she's listed on Horsetopia.com as C's Calypso Rox - as is he). He's friendly and leads, ties, and picks up feet. He has both "parts" down and should be ready for gelding in the fall if one prefers a gelding. His ring wasn't closed enough for my vet's preference this past spring. I can send pics of all of the above... Yearling Palomino Colt #2 is C's Cruisin Captain - AQPA papers pending. He's listed in Dreamhorse.com ...and is 11.2hh right now with more growth coming. He has two full sisters showing (English hunters) and other siblings out there that I've lost track of... He's going to take till he's a good three before he fills out and looks like a show pony (family trait) but then they look good and do VERY well. I do have a 3 year old chestnut gelding here that's a full brother... to get an idea. He also has both parts and will be ready to be gelded this fall... and like Sailor, ties, leads, and picks up feet. Yearling Red Roan Colt is Creekland's Reigning Skipper - he has his Half Welsh papers (with the Canadian Welsh Society) and by breeding is 3/4ths Welsh. He already looks cute (has a picture on Equinehits.com), stands 11hh and should be a top of the line small when mature. He has a bay roan gelding full brother who's three and ready to start his show career and be sold (price now for him is $5000). The "issue" with Skipper is the parts aren't there yet - though his brother was the same way - so it might be a family trait. His brother was just gelded this past spring at three - however - one knows that one doesn't know about parts one can't see (or feel). Still... he looks the part of quite the show pony for the future. All three are very friendly and none bite, kick, crib, or weave. They all should have future show careers. I can get current coggins on any of them and we can deliver within 4 hours one way (or so) for gas costs. We also can accept credit card payments via paypal on the web. Feel free to e-mail with any questions or to see any pics of them or siblings... Payments may also be possible - pending references. I'll need references for free leasing too if anyone likes that option. I can give my trainer and vet as a reference as to quality of them and their siblings... for English showing and temperament - or of course - feel free to come see them if you live nearby!

Creekland Farm is a family run pony breeding farm raising nice all around English pony hunters (well, most of them end up showing). We're located in South Central Pennsylvania between Gettysburg and York. Most of our ponies sell from the show ring under saddle as 3 or 4 year olds, however...I'm offering our 3 yearling pony colts at a "sale" price for this month as they do NOT get along with my 3 year old stallion prospects - meaning I've lost my colt pasture... and something needs to change prior to a trip next month when only the "barn help" is here.
