It is with great sadness I report the sudden death of Dennis Fisher. Having won 8 best turned out awards last season in the South East his name was well heard leading up horses for Alyce in addition to being a well known equine dentist and "back man". Having fought cancer recently (and able to attend the Awards Dinner in the midst of treatment) he died suddenly in the midst of his days stewarding at HOYS. My heartfelt thoughts are with the family mourning the loss of a truly lovely person.

Dennis will be very much missed. Always a delight at the Declarations Desk, ever patient and good humoured. Again his gentle manner shone through when running the Number Board at Peper Harow, never ever ruffled or terse when unable to read my hurried handwriting. It has always been a pleasure to work alongside Dennis, Freda and the family. He was a true gentleman!

I couldn't agree with you more. An absolutely lovely chap, and incredibly helpful. Away from the pointing I was also lucky to work with him at the South of England Show where he was an absolutely first class steward and taught me and many others what we should, and (probably more often) shouldn't do. He will be hugely missed.
