As some of you might know I am a bit of a Godstone fan,but even so, having just walked part of the course it is as well prepared as any I can remember. If it were flat you would run 2yr olds on it. Well done to all concerned, it looks fantastic.

The course looks fantastic this evening. Well done to Scott and his team, and a very big thanks to Tim McCarthy for the 14 or so hours he spent [he was seen out there a 2am Sunday]driving his tractor at walking pace with the agrivator to prepare the best possible safe good. This venue is so good it deserves a 2 day festival meeting, it is the only ground in the south east that is primarily used as a P to P racecourse that i am aware of and therefore should be supported.

As of 8.45am today the going at Godstone for tomorrow's racing is officially described as Good to firm, good in places. There were only a few drops of rain yesterday, and there's a possibility of a little more today at around 1.00pm. Those who have seen the course say it is in fabulous condition - the corners are on new ground, it has been extensively aggravated, there is no jar and grass cover is excellent.
