Well done to trainer David Phelan (Good Gordon) and jockey Jody Sole (Big Breakfast), for coming third and fourth respectively in the Fontwell Hunter Chase this afternoon. A race won by a horse trained by...oh, surprise, surprise, Paul Nichols. Maybe the BHA should rename these races Pothunter Chases!

We go over this every year. Fair play Mr Nicholls for finding such a dire race, dont blame him at all. He is just using the system to his advantage, we would all do it in his position. Untill the BHA pull there heads out of there ASS'S it will continue.....

Personally with the odd exception Stratford 23rd May as an example i dont think the situation is helped by running Hunter Chases on a Saturday or Sunday during the pointing season This year after a quick count i think there are 17 Hunter Chases beeing held on either a Saturday or Sunday during the period February to May As was pointed out by Mark earlier February 22nd is typical of the situation South East Hunts Club at Charing and The Park Fullers Hunter Case at Fontwell and this situation is happenning all over the country
