Congratulations to NICK BOWMAN, who was yesterday elected chairman of the SE Supporters' Club following the retirement of Howard Jarvis. And welcome back to Caroline Holliday, re-elected to the committee after a break in Hampshire. The AGM at Howard's house in Toys Hill was well attended and the club's finances were reported to be in reasonable health. But the central theme remains a low and diminishing number of members. There are plans afoot to breathe new life into the club, and hopes remain high that real point-to-point lovers will come forward in sufficient numbers to keep the club going. As Howard said, the cost of annual membership is less than a round of drinks in the pub. There will be a longer report on site later.

So pleased for Nick Bowman ! He is a great guy and a worthy replacement for Howard Jarvis. Onwards and upwards !

Congratulations to Nick Bowman on his appointment as my successor and every success to the club in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed my twelve years in office and wish to thank everybody past and present for their help, support and generosity during this period. Sally and I enjoyed everyone's company at Rushes yesterday at the AGM in spite of the typical point to point weather! Roll on next season!
