Please no, not mixed opens at BOTH easter meetings - they aren't 'mixed' opens, they are just mens opens!! Ladies horses are generally ladies horses for a reason and 12st plus penalties is too much for most of them. Of the mixed open's run in the area last season I don't think there were any Ladies runners?
I think it would be a great idea to have some other variations on the distances though. How about having some other ladies and mens club races like at Detling? The intermediates definately need to be spaced out a bit during the season rather than the only 2 in the area being on consecutive weeks at the end.
