As an owner who likes my horses, and wants them in one piece for next year - even though they are fit and ready to run, unlike some glory hunters, i wont be risking them breaking down or worse, just to entertain. It takes a lot of time, effort & money to get them fit for racing, none of us want to get this far and not run.
The sport needs to address the changing climate, plan the meetings/courses appropriately and bring meetings forward locally so we can have more 'entertaining' racing.
