Godstone as Shaggy said is not every horses cup of tea, But with the professionalism shown from the ground staff and our clerk of the course Scott Brickell(who is a major cog at Burghley and other top eventing tracks around the country) they always provide us with well built fences, level and safe ground and with the slight alterations to the lay out of the track over the last couple of seasons i feel Godstone has left its Dog track tag way behind and would now be one of our area's best courses. The efforts shown by the Southdown and Eridge commitee to advertise this meeting hopefully will pay off. Negative comments before a meeting has happened is not helping anyone. I put a lot of work and effort into my horses as does the other trainers in the area, and we wouldn't consider running at a racecourse if we didn't think it was a safe place to run. On the entries side of things i think you will find entries are down every where this weekend as it is a Bank holiday weekend.
P.S Cant be that bad if Caroline Bailey has a few entered!!!!!!!!!!!!!
