I know you've gotten a few responses already to your question but I just had to add a few things. I agree with everything everyone else has said about why you should go on SAS. It's so hard to put into words what an amazing experience my voyage was. My brother is 8 years my senior and went on SAS when I was 12 - the impact it had on him was so deep that 8 years later, he encouraged me to take my own trip around the world. I cannot and have not thanked him enough for that gift of encouragement. I am not the same person I was when I left for SAS over 2 years ago... it changed me in so many ways, I could not do it justice in this response to you. Although those 4 or 5 days in each port seem like a teaser - you do truly get an exquisite taste for each culture and you meet people that leave lasting prints in your memory. I believe SAS leaves you more aware, more amazed with the world, more humane, and of course, simply thankful for what you have. It is a unique experience that I am so grateful I was fortunate enough to have.... What is the value of the SAS experience? It is so great that no value could justifiably be placed on it. Find a way - you'll be so glad you did. My best, Stephanie
