traveling within a country

I wanted to know the details of traveling within the country where you are staying. For example to go to the Taj Mahal you would need to take a plane but are the tickets your own responsibility before you enter the country. Or does SAS handle that when they know how many people are interested. How does this work? Please explain everything to me.
