I am looking for the marriage date of Nora Witty to Charles Winston Roberts
I dont know date or place. He didn`t read or write he signed all his wedding cert. with an X
he got married to his other wifes in the Anitoch Baptist church in Adair co. near his home.
Her parents were Wm.BWitty and her motherwasLucinda Glass.
his parents were James E.Roberts and Sarah ????/Roberts,
Nora and Charlie`s first child Wm.Roy Roberts was born dec.1904 Adair co. they lived in Gradyvill,Elroy prec. Leatherwood dist.
She was born in 1877 and died in 1922
He was born July 13,1868 not sure where.He died may9,1952 Adair co.ky.He is burried in the Antioch cemt. plot and stone bought by his dau. Ovlean. I dont know anything of his parents just names. His mother was b. in Ky abt.1845
his dad was born in 1831 in Va. James mother;Susanna???Roberts was b. 1798 in Va. according to the1870 census I am having problems finding any info. of Charlei`s birth place one census says N.C. And other fam. members couldn`t find him in ky untill 1870.with his 2 bro. John and JAmes W. June 8,1870 census.
