I familiar with Jesse Rains, born in TNN, died in KY. He married Keziah Izzard, I think. I do not know that he was Cherokee/Chickasaw. Most of the TN Rains family were Indian fighters, not Indians. The Rains Research Group, which has done DNA testing on 100s of Rains men,, has found no Indian blood in any of them, including my line.
