Simmons " --Previous Message-- 25 - 30 years ago I used to order by post 'Down the Road' mixture in 8oz tins from H Simmons. I even read the book which gave it its name 'Down the Road, or Memories of a Gentleman Coachman'. H Simmons was around in the early 19th century, when the book was written, and are mentioned in its pages. Sadly the shop closed many years ago and became part of Dunhills (selling clothes - ugh!)
