Posted by Goodlife on October 30, 2005, 7:06 pm There seems to be so much talk about this dreaded ban in public places, and it all seems to be dragging on and on, whether it be in government, in the media. I would detest a ban in public places; after all, look at all the tobacconists in the UK who enjoy a pipe whilst they work. Look at the men and women who enjoy an occasional smoke, and who would not be able to savour a once-in-a-while smoke with friends. Look at the common smoker, harming nobody in terms of physical or verbal action. I see conflict coming to the nation, and a democracy should be a democracy. I think a good idea would be to have private smoking buildings, coming in the form of pubs, clubs, bars, where we can enjoy our freedom and pleasure with each other, and write to the secretary if we want to let others in. It should not have gotten to this. To quote the traditionalists, and I'm one of them, Fight Prejudice, Fight the Ban!

Gentlemen,
Not literally or with force, but respectfully and diplomatically, like the true gentlemen we are, please remember and appreciate!
