I have had the pipe for about ten years, bought "new" from a dealer, but it may well have been new (very) old stock. Thanks very much for the info. Is "who made that pipe' a book, or is it a web resource?
: Hi Ken
:
: According to "Who Made
: That Pipe ?"
:
: There is an entry for Croydon
: that has Maker or Seller
: listed as follows:
: Comoy's/L & H Stern.
:
: I believe that L & H Stern
: of Brooklyn went out of
: business in the 1950's.
:
: Are you sure that it is only
: 10 years old ?

: I have a somewhat short
: Canadian
: shape briar with a natural
: matte finish, stamped
: "Croydon" and no
: other identification, no stem
: mark, etc. Any ideas who the
: maker would be, and any
: information on this pipe? It
: is perhaps 10 years old.
