So, I've mentioned Jermyn Street; if you are touristing around that area of London, please do not be put off from the subject of pipes if I also recommend Paxton and Whitfield for fine cheeses to take back to the USA, and a quick look at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden; even if you're not there for the opera, the interior design of the ROH, along with the ambience that comes with Covent Garden (home to the Whisky Shop and Snuff Shop) will ensure you have a great autumn stay in London. Do have a great trip, sir. --Previous Message--

In my opinion, the very finest tobacconist in London is Davidoff London, 35 St James Street. It's on the corner between Jermyn Street and St James Street, and the shop stocks a wide range of tobaccos. Despite this being a pipe enthusiasts' website, you cannot visit Davidoff without taking a peep through London's biggest archive of fine cigars, the Davidoff London Cigar Room. Davidoff London is, in my opinion, the most helpful of tobacconists, and, with such a wide variety of tobaccos in stock, it is a very pleasant experience.
: I'm an American planning to
: visit London in September and
: am soliciting suggestions for
: a good tobacconist, preferably
: with some historical
: significance, to visit. I am
: primarily interested in
: custom-blended pipe tobaccos
: (so I can bring something
: unique back to enjoy as a
: reminder of my trip.)
