Sad news indeed. There is a special place in my memories for all the artists and songs that were popular when I first started my pro-radio DJ career in Sep. '62. Playing the songs like Jerry Butler's "Make It Easy On Yourself", Linda Scott's "Never In A Million Years", Four Seasons "Sherry" and as noted in this posting, "What Time Is It" by Eugene Pitt and the Jive Five. His big hit "My True Story" shows up in my car stereo on a regular basis.
As the years fly by, I am more and more thankful that I had a chance to be one of the "good guys" on the radio, especially during the early '60s when the music was fun and the groups like the Jive Five warmed the innards of my transistor radio!. What a time it was!
