I've read that Canned Heat were about to release their version of it as a single, when they found out that Harrison's version was gaining airplay that I'm sure was very unexpected (especially considering it was a reworking on his part of a song from many years earlier). In what I think is one of the classiest moves ever on the part of a musical act, they decided not to put out their version until after Harrison's had run its course on the charts ... although it won't ever be known for sure, I think if they had released their version it would have completely overwhelmed Harrison's.
