Posted by The Geek Of course, you can support me, and there will be a bit of both at the forum I'm proposing :) (Sorry, I just had to say that :P) Overall, I think that we need both, for the sake of both types of people. Forum-type people won't really fit in at a Wiki that easily, they'll feel stranded, no place to put all those years of learning how to craft a good off-topic post :) And Wiki-types would be just to "straight-backed" for the (average) lazy forums. Sorry if I've just gotten you all more confused (I'm good at that), hope these views don't tick anyone off. --- The Geek

If I may present my oppinion... well, I think both are good things to have. The forums present an atmosphere where the members can get together, helping each other and having fun at the same time. The downside of forums is that they easily go off topic, and all those postings get very messy for the janitor to wade through :P Wiki boards are nice for good, straight answers along with direct help from other users. The downside is, you don't really "see" the community of people behind it, all you see are usernames with little or no personallity. So here is (my) bottom line: we need both, and different users will prefer different styles. (Actually, I think that this board was a nice exception, a good combination of both.)
