Howdy, Bethany!
1) Bummer. If it's a money issue (which I TOTALLY understand) many of my books are in school and town libraries. So check those out (no pun intended....) If she says no because of the content, I'm afraid I can't help you there. But hopefully soon she'll think they're okay for you!
