The Regional in Columbus was attended by all Indiana and the Regional in Michigan was all MI teams except 1 IN team. I would speculate that the winning teams at either Regional would argue that their title was a joke. I may be wrong?
2020 was a very differant year and we made some adjustments - such as teams were not required to play a qualifier prior to State. However, Indiana teams are required to play a State to advance to Regional or World and a team must play a State and either Regional or World to advance to Super World.
Tourneys are called qualifiers so teams receive points and State, Regional, World, and Super are seeded based off points.
EVERY NSA tournament in Indiana gave $75 per team back to the winner ($50) and runner-up $25. $1,275.00 awarded at the Regional.
In reality we did have 4 State Championship events and if we get back to some form of normal in 2021, that will be looked at. We run multiple states as there may be conflicting events and we always take travel into consideration.
Mike Hagy and I are already piecing tourneys on the schedule for 2021 that will include NSA (men, women, & coed) and Outlaw. We will host tourneys in at least 9 different parks from Columbus, IN to the IN/MI state line.
We will continue to give back at least $75/team at EVERY event. We will conduct every weekend according to the rule book so teams will know that an event held in April will have the same rules as one held in October.
I hope this response helps answer some of your concerns.
