the unfortunate fact of large tournaments is you can never please everyone. The derby was something offered to those that wanted to participate, and helped raise $ for a good cause, as well as some getting some enjoyment out of their downtime. Big tournaments ALWAYS have a lot of downtime. Keep winning, you have more, you wanna play 10-15 games, just lose your first game and there you have it.
Yes the gate fee is annoying, especuially for players that already paid entry to play, but it is what it is and the complaining won't change it.
Be happy they werent charging for parking as well
