On behalf of Mike Hagy and myself, I want to extend a very sincere “THANK YOU” to all the teams who are playing in Kokomo and Warsaw in the NSA Northern Indiana State Championships. We have a grand total of 82 teams and this is an all time record number of teams for Northern Indiana States. The 17 women’s teams that are playing are yet another increase from the past years as well.
The top team in the class “C” will earn a berth to the Super World and $225.00 travel money to the Super World. The top three (3) teams in both the “D” and “E” will earn berth to their respective Super Worlds. The top “D” team also earns $600.00 with the top “E” team getting $800.00 for travel to the Super Worlds. In the event the winning team has a berth, the berth(s) may be passed but the travel money stays with the winning team.
All women’s teams earn a berth to the NSA World Series being played at Kokomo September 7-9, 2012. The winning Upper team will receive $350.00 and the winning Lower team will receive $500.00 in travel money for the World Series.
The top Six (6) teams in the “C”, top eight (8) in “D” and top eight (8) in “E” also earn a berth to the 2012 NSA Super State Championships. There will be additional travel money given at the Super State. For example, in the class “C” the winning team at Super State will receive $25.00 per team playing at the Super State plus $450.00 that was forwarded from the North and South States. In the “E” Super State the winning teams will also receive $25.00 per team playing in the Super State plus the $1,450.00 forwarded from the North and South States. In the “D” Super State, the winning team will also receive $25.00 per team plus $600.00 from the North State and $25.00 per team from the South “D” State. The runner up teams in “C”, “D”, and “E” at the Super State will receive $25.00 per team entered in their respective class in travel money to their respective Super World.
To date, Indiana NSA will be awarding $5,650.00 in travel money from the states. Plus there will be additional money added from the South “D” State and the Coed States.
